Goals

  • Evaluation of the Hellenic Gravity Network
  • Investigate the modernization of the Hellenic Gravity Network
  • Investigate the use of a geoid model as a reference surface for the vertical datum of Greece

Objectives

  • Conduct absolute gravity measurements at stations of the Hellenic gravity network
  • Conduct relative gravity measurements for the densification and evaluation of the gravity network in selected areas
  • Evaluate the existing gravity and vertical networks
  • Compute a high accuracy geoid for the Hellenic area
  • Investigate the use of the geoid as the new reference surface for the national vertical reference frame
